Numb adalah singel ketiga Linkin Park dari album Meteora. Dalam album Meteora, Numb menempati urutan ke-13 (terakhir).

Lagu ini bercerita tentang perasaan remaja yang tertekan untuk memenuhi harapan orang lain. Ini dibuktikan dengan potongan lirik lagu "all I want to do / is be more like me / and be less like you".
Teknis lagu

Seperti lagu "One Step Closer" dan "Crawling", Mike Shinoda hanya menyanyikan sepotong baris rap. Bunyinya "Caught in the undertow just caught in the undertow", yang dinyanyikan 4 kali. Dalam akhir lagu, Mike juga menyanyikan sepotong lirik sebanyak 2 kali. Bunyinya "I'm tired of being what you want me to be".
Linkin Park merilis 2 versi berbeda, yaitu "Numb Part 1" yang sampulnya berwarna putih, serta "Numb Part 2" yang sampulnya berwarna biru. Daftar lagunya juga berbeda. Sampul Numb Part 1 terlihat pada gambar.
Kesuksesan

Numb merupakan singel tersukses dari album Meteora dengan menempati peringkat 1 di tangga lagu U.S. Modern Rock Tracks dan 11 di U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
Dalam album "Collision Course", Linkin Park bekerjasama dengan Jay-Z. Salah satu singelnya adalah "Numb/Encore", yang meraih penghargaan Grammy tahun 2006 kategori "Lagu Rap Terbaik/Kolaborasi Lagu Terbaik".
Jay-Z dan Linkin Park terakhir menampilkan "Numb/Encore" dalam konser Live 8 di Philadelphia pada tahun 2005. Linkin Park juga menampilkannya dalam konser Live Earth di Tokyo, Jepang, pada bulan Juli 2007.

From the Inside (bahasa Indonesia: dari "dalam") adalah singel keempat Linkin Park dari album "Meteora". Lagu ini adalah lagu ke-10 dari album Meteora. Singel ini dirilis pada tahun 2004 di Amerika Serikat dan Australia sebagai singel. Di Inggris, lagu ini hanya bisa di-download.
"From the Inside", "Figure.09", "Hit the Floor", "Lying from You", dan "Faint" adalah 5 lagu dimana Chester Bennington berteriak, dalam album Meteora. Album Hybrid Theory juga ada 5 lagu dimana Chester berteriak, yaitu "One Step Closer", "Runaway", "By Myself", "A Place for My Head", dan "Forgotten".

Linkin Park

Linkin Park adalah grup musik beraliran nu metal yang berasal dari Aguora Hills, California, di Amerika Serikat. Mereka sempat beberapa kali berganti nama, antara lain Xero, Hybrid Theory, hingga nama Linkin Park sampai sekarang. Nama "Linkin Park" sendiri merupakan plesetan dari nama sebuah taman di Los Angeles, Lincoln Park.
Sebelum Chester Bennington menjadi vokalis Linkin Park, Mark Wakefield lebih dulu menjadi vokalisnya. Namun, ia keluar dari Linkin Park – saat itu menggunakan nama Hybrid Theory – untuk menjadi manajer grup musik Taproot. Bassis Dave Farrell alias "Phoenix" juga pernah keluar sebentar dari Linkin Park untuk mengikuti tur bersama band lamanya, Tasty Snax. Sedangkan 4 personil lainnya – Brad Delson, Mike Shinoda, Joe Hahn, dan Rob Bourdon – selalu bertahan di Linkin Park sejak awal pembentukannya.
Linkin Park telah merilis 3 album studio, yaitu [[Hybrid Theory], Meteora, dan Minutes to Midnight. Linkin Park juga merilis album Live in Texas, Reanimation, dan Collision Course, serta Hybrid Theory EP. Linkin Park sukses dalam mempopulerkan lagu-lagunya seperti Crawling, In the End, Numb, Somewhere I Belong, dan What I've Done. Secara total, album-album Linkin Park telah terjual sebanyak 50 juta keping.
